This game goes from extremely hard and frustrating to an enjoyable/fun/challenging experience. Best tennis game ever!

First off, I have to say I'm a "casual gamer" (or fan or whatever) and I love this game. The review here says that if you like the "occasional arcade match" or exhibition game you should look elsewhere, maybe because of the complexity of the game controls (that after you finally get the hang of it are no complex at all) and it recommends the game for those "serious fans". I'm not sure what they meant by "serious fans" but if they are talking about people that actually play tennis in real life, I don't see how "real life tennis skills" could help you play this game better. You don't need to be a "serious fan" or whatever to play this game, after all is a video game and just like any other video game it takes some time to learn to play it, only that this one could take a little more and a bit of patience.

Well anyways with that off my chest here's my review… although I think I just did that. Anyways, this game is really hard at the beginning, I played the demo first and it looks like the demo is set to "easy" difficulty by default or something in between "easy" and "normal" because when you get to play the real game is very very difficult. I always played a match in normal mode, loose, then played one in "easy" mode to win and not get frustrated with it and even in "easy" mode I lost a couple of times. So I kept playing and playing and one day when I was about to start crying I was finally able to win a game in "normal" mode and after that boom! I got the controls and I started winning over and over. Then "easy" mode became toooo easy, and normal mode became easy and then toooo easy and now I play mostly in "hard" mode and I love the game.

The graphics are definitely the most realistic that I've seen in a tennis game, the players, the crowd, the stadiums, the shadows, how the players move, everything is just ok. Some people from the crowd look like tall giants but that's ok because they are sitting down most of the time, but the players look just fine.

The sound is not like the most awesome thing ever but after all is a tennis game where people should be quiet and there shouldn't be much sound involved, but everything sounds great, the sound of the ball, the players grunts, the running, the sliding and all is great, muy bueno.

The controls, I already said it, it goes from too difficult to too easy and then to normal if you play in "hard mode". I haven't played in "very hard" but I guess it's "very hard" so I'll pass for now. It's not like you just press a button to hit the ball and the player does the rest, it's a little more than that, is about hitting the ball at the right time on the right spot and moving around or whatever, but this is not what we are used to in a tennis game, this is something different and therefore it takes more time to get to it.

I love this game this is the best tennis game ever I'm glad I bought it, is relaxing, enjoyable and challenging at the same time. Love it bye.
