Although mediocre, it's still the best Tony Hawk on the PS3.

User Rating: 7.5 | Tony Hawk's Project 8 PS3
I bought this game because I've enjoyed every Tony Hawk game with the exception of the more recent ones like Proving Grounds and Ride. I'm one of those people who like that the formula doesn't change, with the exception of a few new things each year. Still, this game was probably the worst Tony Hawk game overall that I've played yet.

GAMEPLAY - Same as past games, but with an added feature where you can go into slow motion and use the analog sticks to maneuver your board and basically create your own tricks. Like I said though, I like the old formula, so there's not much too complain about here. - 8/10

STORY - Pretty much you're trying to make it into the top 8 skaters in the city. Considering there's 200 you've got a long ways to go. Completing tricks and competitions gets you one step closer to achieving this goal. - 7.5/10

GRAPHICS - Decent, although there isn't much customization in your skater as I would have liked to see. Nothing special here. - 6.5/10

SOUND - There are only a couple songs I care for on the soundtrack, but I like to listen to my own music when I skate anyways. Voice acting is what you'd expect also. - 6.5/10

LENGTH/REPLAY VALUE - I haven't played much here, but for being an experienced Tony Hawk player, I think this game might take me some time to beat. There's a lot to do, and many of the goals are quite difficult to get the sick rating on. - 8/10

BOTTOM LINE - This game is far from Underground, American Wasteland, or even the original three Tony Hawk games, but it's still fun in its own right. Having an open city to skate in with no time limits means that you're not really pressed to do much but have fun, and well...skate. This gets my pick for best PS3 Tony Hawk game, but that's only because the other two suck. - 7.5/10
