They say that great things come in small packages. For Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, that is definetly the case. Even portable

Gameplay: Other than skating as the title suggests, you actually get to do other stuff like doing missions. Like for example, in Career mode you do missions for tapes. Some of the missions include obtaining a high score, finding a hidden tape, smashing stuff, and much more. These are just some of the fun oddball missions you get to do. Anyways, by completing these missions, you earn tapes. These tapes are used to unlock new decks, new levels, and whatnot. Some of the levels include the Warehouse, School, the Mall, and many more fun filled levels. There are also 4 levels from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 which is a pretty nice bonus for all of us N-Gage users out there. This game also includes a nifty 2 player mode for you and a friend to shred against each other and show off your mad skills. You can do it via Bluetooth, which is better because you get more modes of play like Trick Attack, Graffitti, and much more but where as the other mode which is Horse Play where you and a friend can use one N-gage to play Horse and take turns. Although, this is fun for a bit, it does become rather tiresome trading the N-Gage back and fourth and also the fact that there is only one mode of play. Just tell your friend to go get an N-gage and a copy of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater so you and your friend can get the whole awesome Tony Hawk experience. Trust me, it's better this way. Another mode it has is Single Session which is just like an Arcade mode if you will, where you can try and get the highest score. Although this mode isn't terribly exciting, it's okay once in a while to get your name on the scoreboard. Now, the last mode is Free Skate which is basically a practice mode where you can improve on your shredding skills and become a bad ass skater dude.

Graphics: If you've played the first Tony Hawk's Pro Skater on Playstation then that's pretty much what sums up the graphics on this version. It's just so amazing how it really looks similar if not accurate to the Playstation version. That's pretty damn good for a cell phone game if I do say so myself. If you haven't played this on playstation, then I feel sorry for you for living under a rock. The 3D levels look stylishy great and fun to look at as to skate on as well. Although there are some parts where it's a tad pixely but it's nothing to bad to look at, it's hardly noticeable. The skaters themselves look great with there realistic details such as there body shapes/forms, close, and whatnot makes for awesome looking skater characters. The blood animation you get when you bail was a nice touch, though brutally realistic, it's cool.

Sound: There are only 7 songs total in this version which is bit of a downer because there are more good tracks in the console versions that they didn't put in like my favorite song which is "Superman" by Goldfinger. But, the 7 songs that you get aren't the best in the world but they're tolerable. Whether it be the grunts or koo's of your skater bailing to the grinding sound of you grinding a rail to the shattering of glass, the sounds in this game rock.

Replay Value: I think the thing that will definetly keep you playing is the 2 player mode via Bluetooth because it has alot of variety such as more modes of play and more levels. As for the single player, the Career mode is cool once you beat a few times but if you over play it, it tends to get tiresome at times. Although if you just want to skate for the hell of it, then just play Free Skate and skate to your little heart's content. If anything, you'll probably come back to this game in like a few weeks or so if you've beaten it.
