Very nostalgic. Very good game but it could have been so much more !!

I am a returning fan of the older versions, I have completed this version of the game with 9 different characters, completed it once on projectives mode and i have completed all the gaps.

This is an excellent game and a very good remake of a classic, infact this is probably one of the better remakes out. Robomodo have done a very good job with the graphics, the game looks very fresh but doesn't lose the appeal of the old game. The game also plays very smooth and feels very familiar, my only problem with the way it plays is with the Xbox controller.
The bad things i would say, that there is no reward for the hardcore fan ie. if i get all the gaps i get nothing in return and if i complete it with every character, again i get nothing. To me this kinda lets down a side of what could be an excellent game, as it will get boring fast if they dont give us something to work towards. They also missed out on some very good maps (Philadelphia, Roswell & Skate Heaven) I would really like to see them bring out lots more DLC! maybe the rest of the THPS & THPS2 maps then maybe the rest of the THPS3 maps once the already announced DLC has dropped. This game deserves to live out its glory days all over again but with crisp HD graphics ...and secret DVD's.
I would have also like to have seen the old tournaments to be in the career these added a little more depth to a short career.
The lack of local multiplayer and the mini game 'horse' bewilders me, my earliest memories of playing the original was beating my little bro at a game of 'horse'. The two games they added in (Hawkman, Big head survival) are playable but not something i can see myself playing over and over, this game needs local multiplayer horse!
I would have also like to have seen other characters such as Tony as a kid (70's Tony, i think) and Spiderman.
The game also misses out the 'create-a-park' feature aswell as 'create-a-player' both of which are almost key features to any returning Tony Hawks Pro Skater fan, they could have really went all out with the create-a-park feature. It would have been nice to see a kind of 'Trials Evolution' system for uploading your created skate park with people all over the world riding your track and trying to get the best score, it would have also added weeks more playing time. I understand that because it is an arcade game there is issues with keeping the file size low but in all honesty, this game justifies itself to be on disc as a full tribute to the early THPS games and i would have rather paid £35 for the full experience than £12.50 for a glimpse of arguably the best game of all time. But all in all whether you are new to the old school tony hawks games or a veteran gamer coming back to settle the score with your tony hawks demons this is a must buy.
