I'm not much for sports games, but this was a pretty good game.

Well, I don't have a whole lot to say about this game. From what I understand, it's a lot different than other skateboarding games - at least, those that came before it. Old-skool games required you to just skate around and complete tasks like high scores and collecting hidden goodies, which got a bit repetitive. THPS4 has this... and a whole lot more. You must complete tasks for people all around the levels, and some of them can be quite fun, challenging, and sometimes rather random. These tasks are hardly ever repetivitve, except for high score, of course. You can also learn some special "sick" tricks, which are fun to pull off. The games graphics are good, considering there are many people around the courses you can interact with and the skateboarding tricks and other motions are very smooth and believable. The sounds are great, and the music is memorable and fitting, featuring bands and artists like MuskaBeats, Goldfinger, SOAD, The Offspring (my favie), and Run DMC. The multiplayer modes are fun too, with a few new games for maximum competition. Although a few other Tony Hawk games have come out since the submission of this review, I don't think THPS4 is going to be showing its age any time soon.
