Tony Hawk's American Wasteland is technically superior to it's predecessors, however, most people will find it more than a bit lacking. For example, I am close to 11 hours into the game and have unlocked HALF of it's secrets. Also, the BMX portions of the control scheme are buggy and extremely hard to master. Although, the bert slides on the board are a nice touch, as are free-running techniques ( back tucks are awesomely fun!). I will not say that this game is bad per se, just short. And since I do not believe it is a step backward for the series, I hope you will all think my score is fair.
