When I bought Tomb Raider from Steam I didn't have high hopes for it especially after being quite disappointed by Square Enix's recent reboots such as Hitman: Absolution. However this game surprised me.
Tomb raider is a classic adventure game, much like its predecessors. It has puzzles which makes your brain think and your fingers sharp and while it is pretty linear, the island is pretty big and with much to discover and collect. And raiding tombs are great fun. The gameplay, character progression and the talent system is pretty well thought out and the story, while a little predictable, portrays Lara Croft quite well and makes you want to play it until you beat it.
I would put this game between old Tomb Raider games and the amazing Uncharted series.
