Every time you go somewhere there's a cut scene!?

This is an unfinished review of Tomb Raider. I'm only about 2 hours into it. I'm a big fan of the original games and completed the first 3 when I was younger. First and foremost Tomb Raider is visually AMAZING. One of the best graphics and takes on jungle area's I have ever seen in a game. What really annoyed me enough to write a half ass review before I completed the game was the fact that it tries way too hard to be a movie instead of a video game and I HATE THAT. You start off with a long cut scene, then you play for a bit before you hit another one. That's cool and all but I could never just turn on my PS3 for a half hour and just shoot anything or climb anything it was always 'let's get the player to this point an teach him something new about the game.. like stealth kills'. I was just hoping for more exploration and pirates or whatever really bring the game down in my personal opinion. Tomb Raider plays like Uncharted in a lot of ways. The controls are tight and you can easily maneuver around. The level designs are beautiful like I said before. The only real thing that turned me off is too many cut scenes off the bat. This review might end up changing when I finally complete the game.. who knows.. but until then these are my initial feelings.
