I thought it would be a great game! Good report!

Ok, now THIS is going to sound very jerky but what exactly what "good" about the report? The only thing it contained, really, was "the game is good and you have nothing to fear!" Which sounds more like someone trying to convince you of something rather than tell you pertinent facts and then allow you to draw your own conclusions.

I'm not accusing the guy of anything but, honestly, how do we set him apart from any old fanboy or disguised employee simply trying to turn people on to the game? I know he says he can't really say much about the game but isn't that all the more reason to sort of, I don't know... not really draw any conclusions based off his post?

I know you said you aren't allowed to talk about it, but could you say how easy/hard the game is on normal? Do you ever have trouble at all or does it get tricky at times?

It was a good difficulty. I generally play on hard mode on any game I play, but they specifically wanted my group to test out normal difficulty. I never really felt like my deaths were cheap, but there were definitely some crazy spots where you're pinned down and have to fight in all directions at once that killed me a few times.

The difficulty level felt appropriate, over all.

I suppose you can't really prove it, but if I were to say anything to prove that I've played the game I'd probably not be allowed to playtest for EA or Crystal Dynamics anymore, they watch these boards. I instagrammed a picture of the building lobby when I was there, perhaps that is sufficient enough? There are definitely A LOT of things I wish I could reveal, but it would suck to lose out on being able to play games early. I also haven't really been following the trailers and teasers they've been releasing since I've already played the whole game, so I'm not sure how much is already known.

If you draw any conclusions from my post, at least let it be the fact that this game has absolutely nothing in common with AC3 and Uncharted like some people are claiming. As I said before, this is what Uncharted tried and failed to be. And oh my god, it is so much more satisfying being able to climb stuff without ledges dramatically snapping under your feet every five seconds, which was probably what I hated most about Uncharted. Of course it happens time to time, but not constantly.

Holy crap, man. Can you drop the pretentiousness and just explain what the heck you're talking about?

Don't be coy and pretend that this:

I just want to know: how do the developers know this about you? Have you been corresponding with them?

wasn't pretentious or smug at all.

Then you completely missed my point. I wasn't being smug. There was no hidden agenda behind my question. I was asking you a question. Yeesh!

From reading your other posts in this thread, I began to suspect you had trust issues, and this post confirms it.

Did you NOT read his post or something? He didn't give us specific facts about the game, because he can't!

He didn't just say the game was good. He said it was awesome from start to finish.

Also, his posts just had the ring of truth to it. Why are you so cynical and negative?

I've never been a fan of the original series, but I just watched the trailer recently and I'll admit that it's the first TR to give me goosebumps. Anything that gives me goosebumps is worthy of a purchase. This is how the original should have been, but it came out just a little before it's time I think.

Definitely waiting for this one! I still find it hard to believe people liked the series more before Crystal Dynamics took over. The games just continually keep getting better.
