A major letdown in many ways, but can really be expected of a next Gen game squashed down, cut up and sold as a Ps2 game

User Rating: 3.5 | Tomb Raider: Underworld PS2
As i had played Legend, and enjoyed it, i felt that Underworld that would be be a good buy, my mistake, the game starts okay with a simple but overly long puzzle to solve, but i soon found out the game not to be anything like its predecessors. the game is riddled with too much wall climbing and grabbing on to ledges, which may of been okay had it not been for a tricky camera to tackle as you jumped from one broken pillar too the next.

There was severe lack of enemies to kill leading to the question of what was really the point of of your weapons if all you could kill were the occasionally irritating large cats, which only jumped you every few hours. Unlike Legend there was very little reason to replay the game as the rewards were few are rather useless

With this title, its clear the Ps2 cannot compete with the next gen consoles. I have not played the 360, wii or the ps3 version, but this version of the game is not worth the small amount of money it may be, throughout you will subjected, to a compressed downsized version of the game, with little combat and frustrating puzzles and infuriatingly repetitive wall climbing. If you want to play this game, don't buy it for Ps2.
