This game has many flaws but for some strange reason i enjoyed it.

I read all the review's about how bad this game was but i still bought it, the fact that it was a side-scrolling platformer interested me. Firstly this game has a few flaws which will make most player's think twice about trying to complete this game. The first annoying thing i noticed was the screen was so dark i couldn't see where i was going most of the time without having to tilt the ds in a certain way, this really ruined it for me. Also the cut scenes are nice graphically but the sound quality is really bad! The voice's are muffled to the point where i couldn't understand what Lara was saying. This game is also very short and can be completed in a few hours which i know a lot of people wont like, i didn't mind this as i tend to get bored playing the same game for too long. The mini boss at the end is just weak! People wont like how easy this game is, the puzzles might be a bit challenging for younger kids, i managed to complete all but one but it does take a bit of time to figure them out but i actually enjoyed this.
So if i hate the game so much why do i give it a 7.5 you ask? Well apart from the things mentioned above, i thought this game was pretty fun to play, it kept me busy while i was awake during the night when i couldn't sleep. I love the fact they did a side-scrolling tomb raider, im glad they tried something different even though a lot of people disliked it. The cut scene's are pretty nice to look at and the story isn't bad.
Overall this game needs improvement, i would love to play another side-scrolling lara game in the future but i doubt they will bother making one for the DS again. If your a big fan of the tomb raider's then im not sure you would like this game, it's so different to the ones on the ps. If on the other hand you like side-scrolling platformers then give it a go.
