Speed Demon ?

Can you still get speed demon while playing in treasure hunter mode?

Also how do you know when you are at the timed area? is it at the start when you first get the motorcycle or does a timer show up to let you know to get it moving so you can see if you are going fast enough to make it in said amount of time?

Hi! I'm not positive about the first question, but I think you can. If it is Mexico for the second question, you should just hear a noise and when it stops the time is up. If you don't make it in time, you have to reposition on of the calendars. [I think it's the first one.]
