The Legend of Lara Croft continues in her best Adventure yet...

I have played every Tomb Raider available for the Playstation system and I have to say that this is her best adventure yet. The storyline was very well done and the graphics are amazing. Realistic landscapes and colorful levels really bring this game to life. Lets focus on the positives first...

Lara's moves are very smooth and fluid as there are a few new tricks in her arsenal. You can swing around poles and by pressing the button you can move faster while climbing around. You can now lock on a target while firing you guns but as a bonus now Lara can slide/kick into enemies which knocks them to the ground for an east target. There is also the "matrix" style move where by pressing "X" while close to an opponent Lara will bounce off them in slow motion and you can keep shooting. There is not a large selection of weapons but its not necessary as you get unlimited ammo with Lara's pistols. Her pistols can also be upgraded by finding secrets throughout the levels, making them stronger for later levels. The only real benefit was in the assault rifle as it had a longer range and Lara could shoot enemies from a decent distance. A nice addition is the Magnetic rops Lara carries which enables her to swing from metal objects and also grab and pull them around.

The story centers around King Arthor and the legendary sword, Excaliber. Lara has to find the pieces of the sword and the key that puts them all together. By finding this sword, Lara can find out what happen to her mother many years ago. But of course there are many people and traps that get in Lara's way. Most traps are pretty easy to figure out by using whats around or the environment. The only downside is the game is pretty short unless you go for every secret idol hidden throughout the levels and you can go back to each level and do time trials in order to unlock more secrets. But overall the game is very well done and it was alot of fun to play. I definately recommend it not only to Tomb Raider fans but to all adventure fans.
