Not as good as the first two but worth a play.

Tomb Raider 3 is probably near the bottom of my list for most liked Tomb Raider games but it is still really good. The story in this one is that Lara is searching for 4 meteorite rocks all over the world for some scientist called Willard. Anyway the reason i dont like this one as much is that nearly every level is urban. The first set of levels in India, the South Pacific levels and the final level of the Antarctica section are the Tomb Raider style ones. The rest are pretty urban with Nevada desert and Prison, London and the mines of Antarctica. Another thing is the difficulty level of this game now im not complaining about that but with the save system on the PS1 version its pretty annoying. Puzzle/platforming wise you have to use your brain/skills well in order to beat this one. Tomb Raider 3 brings a whole list of new abilities though from Sprinting,Crawling and Monkey Swinging. The game adds some new things with water also like some water will sweep you away or drown you and in the Antarctica levels the freezing water drains Lara's temperature bar then health. The game also has other enviromental things like quicksand,mud pits,swamps and piranha infested waters. The game brings back vehicles again with a Motorboat in Antarctica, Kayak in Madabu Gorge, Quadbike in India and Lara's Mansion and the Underwater Propulsion Unit in Lud's Gate. Lara's arsenal is upgraded with the famous Dual Pistols,Shotgun,Uzis,Harpoon Gun,Grenade Launcher,MP5,Desert Eagle and the Rocket Launcher. One unique thing about this game is that after finishing the first set of levels you can choose which area to go next which can make your life harder if you decide to choose Nevada last ;) Overall if you like Tomb Raider this is a must play and if not you may be put off as this game is very challenging.
