A game with high potentials,marred by technical problems...
Chronologically way before Legend,it features Lara in her first major adventure to recover the Scion of Atlantis.Employed by Natla,she explores the sceneries of Peru,Greece,Egypt,etc to find all 3 pieces.A grapple and a few guns is all you would require to platform your way around and over the obstacles and enemies to ultimately find yourself winning the game in moderate difficulty within 4 hours.
Getting down to the review part,both graphics and sound are pretty awesome.Lara feels more human and organic than before.The level design is cracked up too.This game has some of the most difficult and long puzzles in this series.
Unfortunately,Lara's inability to maneuver herself well enough mars the gameplay.She falls where falling is impossible,doesnt grab the ledges where she is supposed to. This considerably slows your progress,but the excitement on completing a puzzle would surely spur you on for more.
I possibly cant reveal more without spoilers,so just check this game out irrespective of whether you are a Lara Croft fan of a fan of this type of games.
