If you're familiar with Sam Fisher this game is extremely disappointing. Apart from the name, Sam Fisher and his amazingly wonderful voice there are absolutely NO similarities with the previous games in this series. No hiding, no exploring, no sneaking around the shadows, no choosing whether to just knock somebody out or to kill them. In short: NO STEALTH which is what I loved about the previous games.
Conviction is nothing more than mindless, monotonous kill-everything-that-moves ad nausium. If you like that stuff I'm sure you'll find Conviction wonderful, but they should not have made old fans expect a stealth game by using the Splinter Cell name. They could have just called this game something like "Guy Shooting Everything", and I would not have wasted my time and money on this stinky brown stuff.
