By today's standards this game does not hold up

User Rating: 6 | Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist PS3

Game was good about a year or so ago. I play on Xbox One now and the controls are good but not great on that system. I'm comparing the PS3 and 360 controllers and controls are archaic and extremely terrible. As such this game fairs extremely poorly in the controls department. Couple that with AI that run up behind you and shoot you in the back while you are trying to turn around and there is no aim assist feature to help in those situations. Movement is slow, this is compared to Metal Gear Solid 5 after all which had fantastic controls, your character moves slower than molasses. I'm comparing the controls and activities to a game that is more current and the obvious flaws are all laid out for everyone to see. Blacklist is obviously not a current gen game and it shows. I would hope that they release a next gen compilation on the new systems and maybe this game will fair better. As it stands right now, if you want stealth action go play MGS5, anything available on last gen is a waste of time and money. My only regret is that I didn't finish the game when it came out vs playing it now because its unplayable.
