''Excellent FPS for the GCN, lenghty single player campaign, fun multiplayer modes...''

User Rating: 9.1 | Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Lockdown GC
Okay, I'll skip the story to avoid spoilers. But this game is really great. It's clearly underrated. Easily the best FPS on Gamecube.

Graphics: Overall : nice. Lighting effect is also well produced. The character look nice even though their animations are rather blocky. Worlds are quite varied and all have their 'unique' look.

Gameplay: FPS. HUD display doesnt cram up the video, which is a good thing. Nice selection of weapons.

A.I: the enemies may be 'quite' dumb -but this isnt an easy game. They are 'dumb' because they dont rect to grenades, or they dont hide very well, however any chance they get to shoot you they will take it.

Sound: the whole game has a ROCK theme. I find that a little cheesy. But the gun sounds, and character voices are nicely done, with realism.

Commands: I love the way you can give commands to your team, for example, you can tell them to go to wherever you aim, or you can tell them to peak around corners to see if there are any enemies. the best thing is to order your team to group up in front of any door, and decide wether you want them to throw a grenade, or clear the room, or stay put. this is really fun and exiting.

Multiplayer: very fun. The best mode is co-op mutlplayer throughout story mode. I love co-op in a game, thats what I look for everytime. You can also play versus mode. However you do not have you team when you play co-op, only you and the other player, which is a pity.

Armory: good variety of weapons and grenades, flash grenades, etc. You can also unlock more weapons by collecting suitcases (?) along the game.

Unlockables: Cheats and weapons.

Lenght: with 16, long and varied missions, this game will keep you playing for hours on end. Around 15-20 hours. depends on the player, really.

Difficutly: the enemies arent very resistant, but they shoot A LOT!!! you will die endlessly. the bad thing about this game, is that its very frustating. there are 2 to 3 checkpoints in each level. the checkpoints are very far apart from each other. When you die, unless you same and load it properly (which is a bit confusing), you have to start the mission ALL OVER AGAIN. I honestly dont like the saving system in this game.

Overall: sorry for the long review, but this game deserves it! Overall, I really enjoyed (and still enjoying!!!) it. I love FPS games, and this is FINALLY a great one for the gamecube -and it's lenghty!

If you have a gamecube, and you are endlessly looking for a great FPS for gamecube, look no longer: TOM CLANCEY'S RAINBOW SIX: LOCKDOWN is for you. And it's cheap!
