Still a favorite after six years.

This game is addictive. There is a lot to do. I have to say that out of all of the games in the series that I have played (out of four), this is by far my favorite. I love the way the guns feel. I love the environments. I love that the enemies don't continually re-spawn in the same place (though a few plays through the game will reveal how few their spawn points really are). I love the fact that even though the game is not overly long, it has a good rhythm and flow, making it feel a lot longer and never feeling unwelcome. If I had to complain about something, I can only think of two things: the crippling stupid AI (your allies make great cannon fodder. They also are great at drawing out enemies and shooting enemies outside of your field of vision) and probably any stealth portions of the game, simply because it is too tempting to use any of the game's many amazing weapons to neutralize any and all tangos you see. Sneaking by when you have your M-60 or USAS-12 at the ready will probably be the hardest thing you'll encounter in the game. Don't misinterpret this: this game is not easy nor is it hard. You can't run and gun but you won't have to worry about getting dropped with one round (unless it is a sniper or a tango with a shotgun). The game gives you the choice of equipment and you should definitely use them. Even though Xbox Live has been discontinued for the Xbox, you should still pick up this gem if you have a few bucks to spare and some free time. Trust me: it will be money well spent.
