i think this game will make the player have emotional "stress" on what they have to do. I for one will hate that you have to throw the guy off the bridge, but shooting the cops in the game im ok with :P

Please, oh please, just let the multiplayer on this game be as good as Rainbow Six 3, and Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow for the XBOX. Those are still the best online shooters ever made. I am a little scared after seeing this video though. I know it's not actual gameplay footage, but some of things I saw scare me for multiplayer. Ability to get behind cover with a 3rd person view sucks, and I don't want another lol Vegas game. The actual gun firing looks like call of duty, there are parts where the guy doesn't even aim for the head. Old school rainbow was all about getting headshots and being deadly accurate, not shooting people in the legs to kill them. This looks like it's gonna be more like COD meets Vegas multiplayer style based on what I've seen. God, I hope I'm wrong, I really want a hardcore tactical shooter like Black Arrow.
The single player does look like it has potential though.
Well it looks cool, but: 1. The camera moves too much... when his behind an object and he just twist for a better position, the camera moves all over the place. 2. The graphics look like everything is made of plastic... hope that the real thing will have some serious hardcore graphics. 3. The sound! People, haven't you learned from your previous games?! Those weapons sound like they're fired from a closed toilet seat! I don't understand why game makers don't use realistic sounds! For example, look at Battlefield 3/ Bad Company 2, Crysis 2... Those games have really cool sound effects. 4. And for the love of God! Don't make it a console game, and then adapt it for PC, these things suck! We prefer the pc because of it's graphics and mainly because of the controls, the mouse... etc. No offense to console players, I'm just talking for desktop users. Thank you, and hope you put it to good use. P.S.: I think the "Patriots" should be the main team (the good guys) :)) they seem to have good intentions, like punishing those corporate **** and those thieving bankers for plundering the world...

@sensesfail99 I totally get what you mean. It's a good thing that they are creating something this realistic to shed more light on people and to show how tough these kinds of jobs can be. It will definitely be an eye opener and I am definitely looking forward to this game. I'm just too sensitive for my own good thats all. :)
@zowbaid I get what you mean, but for me, theres never too much realism. Theres so many games out that if i didnt feel like playing something realistic i could just go pop in a fun and silly game like saints row to get away from it, you know? I think Rainbow 6 Patriots will be a hit no matter how controversial it becomes. Yeah the government agencies like the CIA may or may not do such things but if you really think about the choices, and you were in that situation, would you let one innocent civilian die? or an entire population? ( i know that wasnt the choice in the game but its jsut an example) Its a hard choice and yeah YOU make YOUR own choices. I understand your point im not trying to change your mind or anything, im just saying what they are trying to convey in the game.
@sensesfail99 I understand that, and I will still get this because it looks very promising. I was just saying that something like this could really desensitize younger "dumber" players and I feel like a game like this could create a lot of controversy. Sometimes too much realism is a turn off, you know? I mean MW2's Airport slaughter scene really made me hate the CIA, because I know it is something they would actually do if they were undercover or whatever. But nevertheless, a game is a game and as long as I know that I'll get to make MY own choices.
lol so this game is trying to paint the victims of criminals taking over the government, as terrorists who would kill innocent people? I feel bad for anyone who wants to buy this game.
@zowbaid obviously you havent read the gameinformer about this game.. you need to, it will explain the setting and tone for it. You get very tough choices thru the game like wether to shoot the NYPD in the head to stop them or to just wound them, there was alot more examples but i cant remember. they really want you to feel more emotion from choosing or just watching at how surreal everything is to present day.

Did anyone feel sick watching this? The poor guy died..I hope they change this in the final game, I don't want this to be another Modern Warfare 2 with morally twisted gameplay.

@JDFS Right there with you. The old R6's were unique with squad planning and control. Now the franchise is trying to be like every other shooter out there, sad.
I have mw3 and battlefield and to be honest, i feel let down by these titles and can't wait to sample R6

1st day buy for me...big Rainbow fan. I think they will make this stand out compared to the BF3 and COD games...tired of them so much. I personally cannnot wait for Mass Effect 3 and Ghost Recon Future Soldier.
Crap, I thought I'd won a Trophy, but it was in the video... I'm intrigued though, and curious what the franchise will be like next. The only things I don't like are the 3rd-perosn-view (still) and the HUD-elements, that you can see "digitally" through items and stuff. Like how you see targets and cars and stuff...

MW3 and BF3(single player scenario) was not good as i expected,this game can be a rocker i think.R6 Patriots really deserves the attention of players....

if those choices are left for the player to make then this game will be very interesting.... this game has a really good chance to say something, i just hope they wont mess it up....
