Ghost Recon for the Xbox is a modern tactical shooter. It takes place in the year 2008, Russia is planning to start another war, and it is up to you and your squads to stop the main leaders of the Russian army and prevent this war. Unlike other FPS's, Tom Clancy shooters often involve more strategy than going into the mission guns a blazing. Instead, you must think and strategize on each mission very carefully. As you progress through a mission, the situation changes. There could be enemy reinforcements, or you may have to do another objective before you can complete the mission. The AI in this game is intelligent. They will travel in groups, call for backup, take cover when they are being shot at, and will try to take you and your squads out. Accuracy and survival are the main keys in getting through a combat situation. If you stay low to the ground, you won't get shot as easily. And as long as you take your time in aiming at the enemy, your shots will hit their target with deadly results. There are 13 missions in the game, unlockables, and extra modes for multiplayer. This game is fun, challenging, and one of my favorite Tom Clancy games. If you have ever played Rainbow Six, or any kind of strategic FPS, give Ghost Recon a try.
