At last an RTS about modern/Near future warfare and not about medieval/mythology/XIX Century, etc...
Also I don't like either those Satarcraft wannabe games or those like Red Alert with weird enemies and units, i'm pretty sure they must be excellent games but i'll let the guys who appreciate them to play them, it's just that they'not for me, I like them from WWII to modern/Near future, also I'm not a great RTS player i always play them on the easiest difficulty levels.
ENDWAR is an RTS that fits very well for me, nice graphics, easy to understand, modern/Near future setting, and some nice weapons, smooth controls, etc.
The greatest feature of ENDWAR is that the voice command system actually works! Sure it's not perfect but you'll be glad to know that your units really obey you unlike other games that have a voice command system.
It has a lot of replay value it has 3 campaigns andmany ways to win the war, so you'll spenad many time trying to play in all scenarios, attack, defend, improving units, etc. It's all easy to understand.
The bad thing is that the story actually sucks, I mean from all World War III possible scenarios, like China & Russia vs. The Us and Europe, US Vs. Axis of Evil, North Korea vs. South Korea, Israel vs. Arab nations, etc. ENDWAR takes the less possible one, US vs Europa vs Russia, WTF?!!, Maybe Tom Clancy wanted it to ne orignal, but in the search of an original storyline it ended up being stupid.
If you choose the US army as your faction, you'll be commanded by Scott Mitchell, the guy form Ghost Recon advanced warfighter, wich also has a very stupid storyline, US invading allied countries, it just makes no sense at all.
The game is rated T for Teen, it has suggestive themes, i didn't any suggestive theme on it.
Anyway this game is really cool, it does everything good, if you can overlook the stupid story you'll find a nice and very original RTS.
