Toca race driver 3 is a driving simulator that features just about all elements of auto racing including open wheel, off-road, and touring. Its almost like buying many racing games in one. Its features over 70 cars and over 80 tracks. If there is a racing game that can be called the Gran Turismo killer, then its this one. Unlike Gran Turismo, you can take damage to your car and its a little more realistic because blown engines and overheating is featured. There are 3 modes: World Tour, Pro Career, and Simulation modes. In Simualtion mode you can do a single player race in any of the championships that you unlocked in world tour or pro career. Simulation mode also features time trial and split-screen multiplayer. In World Tour mode, you can make an auto racing career in many racing series with the help of Rick. Rick manages your career and gives you tips. During races, he will be in radio contact warning you if there is anything wrong with the car. He will try to motivate you as well. In Pro Career mode, You can choose a championship such as Indy Racing or rally and race in them. You will unlock more championships as you advance. Toca 3 also features online racing with up to 8 players.
Overall, its a great game. Race fans should really enjoy this game. The game is pretty hard so I recommend it to only the most hardcore racing fans. Anyone who has a remote interest in racing will find this difficult. People who are not racing fans will find this game boring.
