Even if Racing games like Gran Turismo aren't for you, than you can still buy this game and play however you want.

With over half a dozen types of racing, ToCa Race Driver 3 remains fun. If you play it like a dead-serious simulation, tuning cars meticulously and checking telemetry to get that hundredth-of-a-second off your lap time, or just take off in a monster truck or a Pontiac Firebird muscle car to just have almost a Need For Speed-like experience, ToCa is the game for you. First off, the game play. ToCa has a career mode, where you partake in events such as Off Road, Formula 1, Oval racing such as NASCAR, Touring Car and GT events. Fro the most part, you can complete the tier-based career mode winning one of the one, two, or three championships in that level. There is (usually) one off-road event, a Formula 1-like event, and a Touring car event. GT and Oval racing can be substituted in there for some variety. I haven't completed the career mode myself, but after about tier 8 the difficulty starts increasing. ToCa looks great, but nothing special. The cars look about on par with GT4, and there is way more track variety. The menus are easy to navigate, and have a little added flair because of a small video clip that shows a little bit of racing. The cut scenes you encounter during career mode look great, even if the movements of Rick seem a little choppy.
The sound is scarce, there isn't any during racing. The menu music is forgettable jazz tunes that seem to fit perfectly with the mood the whole game sets. The engines themselves sound very good, and every car has its own beautiful engine sound.
I bought this game for $30 at Wal-mart, but the variety and sheer amount of racing makes it well worth its while.
All-In-All this is an excellent game, i recommend it to anyone who is capable of the basics in GT4. If you lack the patience, skill, or desire to be good at GT4, this game will lose a lot of its fun, because most of the racing requires knowing how to take the perfect racing line.
