Don't think GT series is the only one out there in the ps2 world, you got a good one right here!

User Rating: 8.5 | TOCA Race Driver 3 PS2
I was trying to play GT again, kinda wanted to beat it, but I just got bored from it. The races were easy to beat, and ect. So I decided to see if there was any other good racers out there, I looked for F1 games, and Indycar games, then I cam up on this one through the web. After going to, 2 game stores, I picked it up
Got everything going, the cars were hard to handle with the worng set-up(and going over 100 miles in to a tight turn, should be hard to handle the car...) it was fun to race the cars, well most of them.
*Toca 3 vs. GT 4
-Game Play
The game play in GT 4 is dull, the cars handle to good, and they don't spin out much, wile in Toca 3, the cars can spin on you if you push them hard enough. With 6 cars in a race in GT 4, and 20 in Toca 3, what do you think is going to be fun to go against?
-Graphics
The graphics in GT 4 are outstanding, draw droping for a PS2, they did a good job for that, wile Toca's graphics are not the best, you still get the incar view, and just good enough graphics to look at, but you need to rember, graphics don't make the game!
-Story
Lets face it, both of the stories in GT 4, and Toca blow, they are mixed up, and what not, in GT 4, you buy a car, race it, and tune it up, and what not, in Toca, you just win, beat, unlock, and repeat, I have to say, GT 4 still beats in the story of the game.
-Fill
The fill of the cars on Toca 3 are pretty good, you can tell when your driving a diffrent car, and the fill of the wheel is kinda diffrent, wile in GT 4, the cars kinda fill the same, for the most part.
-A.I.
If you think the A.I. in GT 4 are better, then your probly pretty stupid, and I mean it, all the A.I. do in that game is follow a pipeline around the track, when your passing them, they don't know your there, they just bash into you in the turns when your on the bottom, and with only 5 of them, it's kinda boring. Wile in Toca, they don't go in the same line, they drive a little diffrent, they know your there, most of the time, atleast, and they will give you a challange.

Over all, TOCA Race Driver 3 beats, GT 4, even though they both have ups and downs, GT 4 has afew more downs. TOCA isn't the best ps2 racing game to me, I have to go with my trophy, "NASCAR Dirt To Daytona" for best PS2 sim racing game, but its up to you to decide what you like more. I don't race cars, I do indoor karting, and drive like a bat out of hell, so I have some fill for how cars handle...
Hopefully this review will help you decide in what game to get if your buying them, or anyone elses.
