Not that good, Little Satisfactory, See Why...

I was getting bored of the Smackdown! vs RAW series, I wanted something fresh, when I heard that TNA Impact! was coming out I really thought this would be the the this was going to be the better game. As I continued to watch videos of it, the game seemed to look better and better, although I knew Midway probably wasnt going to do a good job with it.
I bought the game 3-4 weeks after it came out, when I popped it in my Playstation 3 for the first time, I came across a ridiculously installation screen. About 30 minutes later I could finally play the game.
I decided to play Storymode, its basically about this(the) wrestler named Suicide. Hes found great success in TNA until Homicide and Hernandez(LAX) Assaults Suicide telling him to loose the match for the night. Suicide doesnt listen, wins the match and literally gets the crap beat out of him by LAX on his way out of the show taping.
You end up in a little hospital in Mexico, with your entire body broken and reconstructive surgeory, the create a wrestler feature. Its decently good creative engine, theres no facial morphings like the SvR series but it still managed, the attire options arent that creative either, but it doesnt matter.

After your finished creating your character, your put into a gauntlet match in Mexico. If you win your shipped to USA wrestling in a fictional independant promotion then eventually drafted to TNA. You continue doing matches, winning championship belts, going to Japan, and editing your character and movesets with the blan options. The unfortunate side to this game is that, once you have beaten it, theres really nothing else to do, besides accumulating points to unlock moves and characters. Theres nothing special in the exhibiton besides the Ultimate X match, the other downside is the 25 man roster, and the fact that everyone has the same moveset depending on there wrestling styles.
The game sometimes can also be frustrating reversals are extremely hard to do and I almost threw my controller trying to beat Jeff Jarrett at the very end of the game. (literally...)

Now I cant say I entirely hated this game, there is a good side to it.(kinda)
The only thing that really never dies is the highflying style and the innovation of the game makes it what it is. I was happy that the Ultimate X wasnt a disappointment. But I found I wasted my money buying this game, it really doesnt matter if you have it in your collection or not. I wish the best to the TNA game series and I hope the sequel to this is alot better. I dont quite recommend this game, maybe if you like TNA?

Its time this review came to a closing end.
