Short game with easy achievements, mediocre graphics, annoying fights and really fun platform passages. Worth a bargain!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sounds quite boring, and to be honest it is far from being a exciting, long and interesting game. Then again I must admit this game is "fun". If i recall, lately I have never played a game that is simply fun, without all the extra annoying stuff.

TMNT has 16 levels, with some extra stuff such as videos and bonus levels including coins though you won't really extend the game by buying stuff in the shop. Controls are easy- a is jump, b is hit, x is change character.

The different characters have different special abilitys which you can use at specific points though you will never have to think about when to use it as it will say at the bottom of the screen. They are activated by pressing RB.

The game could be described as being a action/platformer/jump & run with some fights. The story is handled over comic cinematics. I didn't bother with the story so I can't say how good it was but don't expect too much from it.

Graphics are Gamecube level and also nothing special- no high def, no special effects, no reflection in water.

The Levels all look very different and always provide some changes in setting. Now comes the really weird part- TMNT is really really fun! The game offers nothing new but the platforming is really fun and I enjoyed the whole game from the start to the end. Only the fights get boring quickly and feel like a chore rather than fun. There are only about 3 attacks, though characters have different weapons. You can also switch between them in fights, but there is never a flow joining up atttacks. Opponents look the same all the time and I wish the whole fighting could have been left out.

There is no multiplayer- not too missed but still would have been nice!

For all Gamerscore addicts. This game is probably the best game for quick achievements which still is quite fun- not like Avatar. About 95% of the achievements are obtained by completing levels which hooks to the game. The rest ones can hardly be missed and are really easy- such as completing a level without being hit or finding a golden coin in the bonus level. It's easy and you won't take more than a few hours to get them.

If you completed the game there won't be anything to return but at least while you play it it was a good time. Don't expect anything special whatsoever, just a solid platformer which is fun while it lasts. Good for the bargain bin. I'd pay up to 30 dollars.
