Tight controls and Mechs

User Rating: 8 | Titanfall XONE

Watching early previews of this game, all I could think was an over the top CoD, and that is exactly what was delivered. The game controls like a charm, has a few nice maps, a few ok maps, and a few horrible maps. The action is fast paced, and the computer controlled players are only there to help you build up your score so you can get your Titanfall faster. Now once the Titans start hitting the field, that where things get crazy. You can be in this mech, have it following you, or have it in guard mode. When there are numerous Titans on the battlefield, things can often get very intense. There is no better feeling than jumping off a building, rodeoing a titan, watching the player eject to try to kill you, shooting them before they kill you, and then finish blowing up your victims Titan. All this while there is action all around. The atmosphere, the sound effects, the music, all really bring you into this world that Infinity Ward has built. Also, don't worry about there not being a single player campaign, the campaign, which are online missions, tell a decent story in their own right. Who buys CoD for the SP anyways? This is a solid game that isn't getting the love it deserves because it doesn't have CoD in the name anywhere. If you are a fan of CoD, you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't check this game out. There is limited content when it comes to weapons, but the guns in this game are all worth using unlike CoD.
