Cool game! You run on walls and jump around with your jetpack. Now to make it better add a gun and even better you pilot a "Titan" to rain more destruction. Sounds great! That is until you actually start to play. Piloting the titans is good balanced weapons and options with several different combinations to match your play style. Running around as a pilot is really fun. Making jumps from rooftops to the ground and back again opens a new way to play. So why did I call it "Titanfail"? Limited weapon options, weapon power/ effective range issues, moderate network lag, and pointless game controlled bots. Limited weapon availability. With only 12 or so total weapons and most are duplicates (3 pistols, 2 snipers, 2 smgs) your options are numbered. As for the weapons performance, well the pilots are wearing armor equal to a tank or these guns shoot the weakest bullets ever. Most of my encounters that ended is a kill on my side were from landing 5 to 7 hits unless one was a headshots, but don't count on many of those because with the increased mobility of the pack its like shooting a bouncy ball shot from a cannon. So increased mobility with weak weapons equals lots of missed shots and horrible action. Now add in the accuracy and good luck. Some of the weapons work mostly as you would figure but the rest don't. The 3 rifles (3 burst, semi-auto, and full auto AR) all have there issues. To start we will go with the overpowered AR. Full auto with great accuracy over long distances. The 3 shot burst and semi-auto rifle both are slow in the fire rate category and have terrible accuracy for being the "precision" weapons. Nothing better the popping off 15 shots at a stationary target and missing them all. So if you want a game that's fun to run around with a gun and kill pointless bots while jumping from roof to roof Titanfall is great. If you're looking for the next amazing first person shooter... keep waiting. Titanfall fails to bring a balanced shooter to the table that will please. With several improvements it holds the potential to make "Halo" and "Call of Duty" look like "Contra". After 15 hours of online play I'm done. If you are a fan of Halo 2 and 3 or COD Black Ops don't waist your time or money. Titanfall will only disappoint you.
