After playing the beta, I wasn't to sure how to feel towards Titanfall. I loved the new elements of movement and verticality but I wasn't sure that the game had enough balance. During the beta I avoided playing as a titan because it felt constrained and clumsy.
Within a few hours of owning this game, my thoughts have shifted a bit. Once you are comfortable with all titan controls, it becomes much more fun to swoop in and out of the mechs during combat depending on the situation. Maps are large and well constructed; plenty of alleys and open spaces, underground passages and rooftops. This game introduces enough elements and doesn't limit the players game style of choice. As a pilot you can choose to snipe, sneak, or charge into the middle of the action with a shotgun. If being in a Titan is a bore, simply set it on Auto-pilot and consider it a mobile sentry gun.
Overall it is a fun-packed game with a new twist on the FPS genre. I don't see this growing stale anytime soon!
