A good game, but lacks potential

User Rating: 6 | Titan Quest PC
What can I say, it's an instant copy of Diablo II. The game is just another Diablo in Roman times. It's fun and it has all those elements, just the variety of armor and weapons is horrible. It's all Greek/Roman robes of some sort and the weapons are all spears and short swords, nothing special and creative like World of Warcraft. At some points the armor looks pretty cool and the weapons are really nice looking, but you have to waste your life, grinding that one little sword. At some points the game is a little tough. Your armor can sometimes be not good enough for some boss battles or just regular monster battles, so when you spend your whole day, farming weapons for that specific boss battle, the boss drops an item ten times better than what you just farmed for six hours. So you just end up throwing away that item or just selling it. Especially since a lot of items don't sell for a lot for some reason. The graphics in this game though, are quite nice which brought up my rating from a 5.0 to a 6.0. The quests and the pointless dialogue in them is just, you know, pointless, I never bothered reading any of it, I read a few, and figured out that they had nothing better to do, so they spent their time writing a whole story in a quest, but not making better weapons or armor?! I don't know what to say about this game, it's okay in some points of view, but it's just another copy of Diablo, with some random company that decided to make a hack n' slash game. I love hack n' slash games, but this one is just not that great. If you're one of those people that doesn't give a crap about anything and just wants to get any ugly looking item as long as it has +5 damage so you can defeat the next monster. I think the ending boss was a little tough, I had so much great armor and weapons, and they still didn't hurt him. I had to hit and run and really quickly cast a spell and then run away from him, because Kronos, I think was his name, could kill you in one to two shots, literally. The whole ten to twenty minutes of Kronos was just hit and run, and if you messed up once, he would hit you, you would die and then you would have to start all over fighting him again, once I beat him, I surely was not planning on getting Titan Quest Immortal Throne, and here is another problem, I don't know if this is a glitch or not, but since I did get Immortal Throne, but quit it after an hour, to get to the new places that unlock, you have to defeat.... guess who? Yes! Kronos, finally some new adventure, no not really. I did defeat him, and it was a pain in the ass. So really this game isn't all that great, it's pretty good. I guess it's more of a kids game for 9-11 year old's because really there's not much thinking involved in this game and 10 year old's just want to kill a monster with a sword and don't really care about anything so.... if you're a kid in that age length, get the game, you will like it. If you're like me who likes to complain, but this game does suck a little, don't get this game, just stick with Torchlight or Diablo.
