Need something to hold you over until Diablo 3? Step up to the Throne!

I'll keep it short and sweet, I have played TQ off and on since it was released. It's ALWAYS been fun, solid, and the perfect Diablo diversion. I am not an item geek and simply play for the character builds, challenge, and entertainment aspects. The expansion pack, Immortal Throne, completes the game in a number of ways, and the graphics, here in late 2009, are still top notch. The intuitive and smooth gameplay and mechanics make it rise above the other wannabes. Throw in skill trees and attribute points (a la Diablo 2) along with enchantments and scrolls, etc..., and it's every bit as deep and engrossing as Diablo, sans the creepy atmosphere and dark art direction. TQIT is more of a colorful 3D world with lighting effects and modern character models. Spells and magic effects are awesome, as are bosses and the mythology based beasts you encounter, of which there are quite a variety.
I honestly think TQIT is THEE alternative and/or runner-up to the Diablo series, you can't go wrong with it, if you enjoy this type of game.
