Physics based puzzle-platformer

User Rating: 7.5 | Tiny & Big: Grandpa's Leftovers PC
Tiny and Big are brothers, and Big has made off with some underpants that were inherited from their grandfather. Turns out these aren't normal underpants and actually grant special powers.

Armed with a ray cutter that can cut through stone, a grappling hook that can pull stone, and some rockets that can give stones a nudge, Tiny takes pursuit to stop Big.

The game is a puzzle platformer. You need to look at your surroundings and decide which rocks need to be cut or pulled to help you traverse the environment. You will be cutting pillars then pulling them towards you to form bridges, surfaces will be cut to form ramps, objects will be pushed in place. You just need to improvise.

Surprisingly, most objects can be cut, and although it's generally obvious what the solution will be, it will be possible for there to be many possible solutions in the area. There are some parts here and there which aren't too obvious, but as long as you experiment, it should become clearer. If you do mess up, you can quickly reload a checkpoint which happen fairly frequently.

The comic-like visuals are very impressive and are only let down by some of the indoor environments being a bit on the dull side.

The game-play mechanic is impressive, and the bizarre story and wonderful graphical style give the game a lot of charm. It's a shame it only takes a few hours to complete and the environments weren't more varied and interesting.
