TimeSplitters Future Perfect Dark?

User Rating: 8.3 | TimeSplitters: Future Perfect PS2
TimeSplitters: Future Perfect is by far the best in the series. I was extremely pleased by the new mode of online play also. The graphics are quite nice, and from what i've noticed there are no frame rate problems, even on online play. The sound sounds good, but I was a bit annoyed by the cheesy announcer and some of the music is bit loud, the announcer is optional fortunatly and the music has volume control. The control on this game is great, not too realistic, but not too sluggish. I was a little disappointed that you can't jump, but you can't jump on Killzone either. I guess i got a little spoiled with the "Pixel Perfect Jumps" of Halo 2. My favorite part of the game is the Online play, I haven't even started the Story yet, so I cant review that part. The online play on the PS2 is great, everything runs pretty smoothly, not much lagging. Although, i have had a few "Lost Host" messages and was forced to exit, of course it was mainly when i was doing great. I've noticed, there was a lack of online games to choose from, i'll search with no filters and come up with 5-8 games to choose from on average. I'm not sure if the Xbox's Matchmakingâ„¢ can help with this problem on the Xbox Platform. Over all, the games feels like the old N64 shooter Perfect Dark. Which isnt bad, I always hoped they would come up with a "Classics" game that revamped old shooters or fighting games with online play. Since that is a long shot, for now at least, I'll play this game and think of the great times i had on Perfect Dark. I enjoyed this game more than Project: Snowblind, and most games that have come out lately, Hopefully we'll see more shooters like this, or better on the PS2 soon.
