A mediocre guilty pleasure

User Rating: 7.5 | TimeShift (2007) PC
I like shooters, especially the Half Life and Call Of Duty series.

So,Timeshift is a nice game, but flawed. Graphics are okay for a 2007 game, better then average. The physics are also good, similar to Fear.
There is a variety of weapons that will not dissapoint and satisfy your bloodthirst, but it cant compensate for the mediocre story and voice acting that makes it look like a wannabe Half Life 2 at times (especially at the first missions).
The enemies are clever and without the games shiny little feature, time control, they would easily flank you and kill you quickly.
The music is allmost un-noticeable and cliché,like several other aspects of the game.
Good info: being 4-5 hours into the game,i dont think i noticed any glitches.
Bad info: im not sure the game is immersive enough to motivate me to finish it.

Overall, its an okay game, sometimes it reminds me of Half Life 2, some action scenes remind me of BLACK, but it never gets near to the potential it could have reached.
