Frustrating...... yet i cant stop playing you!!!
Good:
• There is elements of fun still in this game.
• Cover system is very useful.
• Gun is still responsive to my television.
Bad:
• Graphics are very pixel.
• I have been playing this game for 7 years and i still haven't finished the damn main story.
Originally a arcade game, it was ported to the home console like every other good arcade game at the time. As a young kid, i could never really fully complete this game. I did well in the special mode and was able to finish that quickly. But later on i discovered that there were secret endings and depending how fast you finish each stage, you will be awarded the bonus stages that determine the different endings of it (so really, i was beating the game as a newb).
Each stage has a timer on it. After completing a stage you are given more time to complete the whole level. After completing the level, you are given a ranking on how fast you completed it.
Main story of this game is as hard as anything. I could never really finish this games main campaign properly nor complete the final stage. With practice, i could finish some stages without getting killed at all. The only trouble i ever came across was the bloody timer for each stage.
All enemies have they're own ranking with them. The blue guys are just your standard goons that get in your way. The red guys are your sharp shooters (and i would recommend killing them first). Then there are your guys with grenades and rockets (once again, kill them first). Orange guys i think are bonus guys you kill to get more time on your timer.
After each stage, you may encounter a boss fight. In special stage mode, your boss may consist of giant mechmetal Gear robots while in the main plot one, you encounter guys from the main story itself.
Great game i'll give Time Crisis that, but way too hard. I'm glad i only played the arcade one once, cause i would have wasted a crap load of cash.
