Tiger Woods PGA Tour Impressions

As part of Sony’s pre-E3 press conference, Electronic Arts announced plans to publish a PSP installment in its Tiger Woods PGA Tour series early next year.

Few details on PSP software are available at the moment, but video was shown for several of the games currently in development for the new handheld. From what we were able to see, the video shown for Tiger Woods looked pretty impressive, though not much of the game was shown at all. The model used for Tiger looked pretty sharp, and the character animation was also pretty solid.

This demo, like the rest of EA’s PSP showing, was created using development tools and emulators based on system specs. So it remains to be seen if the actual PSP hardware will be able to keep up with EA’s slick-looking demos.

Tiger Woods for the PSP is scheduled to be released during the first quarter of 2005.
