Essentially Tiger Woods Online in a boxed version, but you still have micro-payments!

Tiger Woods 08 for the PC is superior in every regard to Tiger Woods 12 PC. If you need a PC golf game, go find one used. Instead of an actual game engine, TW 12 PC is running on the Unity browser engine. As far as web-based browser games go, it has decent graphics, but the console counterpart on the PS3 or 360 blow this out of the water!

I can't believe EA is charging for a "PC" version of their online game when they make you play their PC game online only, and after 3 months you have to start paying again just like you were only using Tiger Woods Online. The only real benefit to this version is the Augusta experience, which still pales to the console version. Just stick to the console games, they're actually good. TWO, or Tiger 12 PC, remove almost every good nuance of the console counterparts. This seems more like a 2003 PC game than 2011.

Maybe one day EA will actually make a real PC golf game again, or just port over the excellent console Tiger game, but I'm not going to hold my breath on that one. At least they're supposedly refunding people's money if you complain about how misleading & terrible this "game" is to their support.
