Finally something other than Call of Duty! - There is a lot of fun to be had in Killzone 3.

Straight away we can say Killzone 3 offers a lot for its money, not only is it a decent FPS with a pretty good online multiplayer but it is compatible with the move and available in 3D. You can also play through the campaign on co-op with your buddy which I think is a very nice touch. So many modern games don't do this and it's so easy to add in it annoys me that games don't do this that often. I haven't played it in 3D but that is probably a good thing because i am totally against this 3D revolution. I have however tried it with the move and I can say it reaches new levels of awesomeness. It is difficult and I would recommend completing the game with the pad first to kind of appreciate the game and then go back after to play it with the move for some kick ass fun. I will admit the move is difficult to use at the start but there are lots of customizable ways to make it suit your needs and to help get the sensitivity right for you.
So now we come to the actual gameplay. The first hour is right into the action it's done to get you back into the Killzone atmosphere of war! Then later on you explore the natural side of Helghan and damn even the plants are out to get you on this planet. The game is played as a kind of back and forth through time breaking the sections up with story from the Helghast point of view, some would probably criticise this and say that the plot has more holes than a cheese grater but I think with a game like this as long as you can follow the story and have an interest in it, they have achieved success.
I won't go too much into the massive robots and jetpacks you get to control ;) because you know they will be awesome but I do like a new thing introduced which is stealth. I am again biased because I love stealth in games, it's a great way of splitting up the pace and stops you from getting sick of repetitiveness. They did an ok job with the stealth, you can hide pretty easily but as soon as you are spotted – it's time to die. It is rare for you to be able to escape detection and then go back into sneaky mode which kind of annoys me but I'm just glad there is stealth at all.
So overall I think this is a great game and one which you should definitely think about owning because if you are thinking about getting the Move or a 3DTV you can be prepared in advance. I'm giving it 9/10 because it ticks nearly all the boxes but just some parts of it frustrate me.
