Build your own theme park and play it! Exhilarating for awhile, but the fun can wear off depending on how much u like it

User Rating: 8.4 | Thrillville PS2
Thrillville is like a mix between The Sims and Theme park World. You need to build your theme park, manage your finances, research new rides and play the games and rides that you build. At the start, you are given the tutorials on how to build rides, how to maintain your park with personnel, how to manage bank finances and play the games and rides.

There are 5 parks in total and each park has a different theme to it. You start with the easiest park of course and each park has different Building Goals, Gaming Goals, Business Goals, Maintenance Goals and Relationship Goals. To gain access to the next theme park, you need to pass a certain number of goals for each theme park. It doesn't matter whether you get Gold, Silver or Bronze, the minimum is a Bronze to pass the goal.

Building Goals: Includes rides that you need to build, some are pre-built while some you need some thinking as they need to adhere to the specs like say it must have a thrill factor of 78.

Gaming Goals: Includes challenging customers to races and games or just obtaining a certain score.

Business Goals: includes the overall management like obtaining 100% sales figure in the Balloon stall.

Maintenance Goals: Includes hiring and training staff to keep the park clean.

Relationship Goals: Includes keeping customers happy, match making etc

Overall, the mini games aren't too bad and have quite a variety, like the Jumping on Trampoline, Golfing, Mini war and Car races. But the shooters can be annoying because the pointer moves really slowly and inaccurately and you have a time limit!

Designing your own ride is only for race tracks and coasters. You don't get to design other pre-built rides. It's fun at first, but after awhile you'll find that it becomes repetitive and some of the pieces like the different bands are hard to construct. The ride also isn't fun because the speed is slow and it's supposedly a sort of a simulator?

Overall, it's still a good game since the graphics and music are relaxing and have a fun theme. And the building and gaming does take a fair bit of time, which makes your money's worth as well.
