Thousand Arms had been, and still is, a game ahead of its time. No matter how modernistic you are, you cannot deny it.

User Rating: 9 | Thousand Arms PS
Thousand Arms takes you back to the old gaming engines when Jazz Jackrabbit had been master of its era on the PC. Quite simply, Thousand Arms is a very solid, very entertaining, and very unique abstract of ideas; one might think that it is the written version of today's most NON-cliche "saving the world" theme. This is probably due to the pleasingly realistic reactions on every character's part, including the NPCs.

We come to the graphics, in my opinion, the second best factor of the game. The world map's environments were well laid-out, and varried according to the game's mood, when events such as killing a boss took place. Example: the sky would darken, snow would fall, etc etc. Nicely done, the full person of the character comes into view upon initiating important events, such as dating and boss fights. Each character was designed to fit his/her actions, reactions, personality, and combat style. From the sexy blondie's fisticuffs to Meis's sword, the game has proved to be a good movie, if nothing else (sry, i forgot her name). P.S: see Meis's facial expression when the brunette tells him off =J

Then there's the storyline. The story is the main reason why Thousand Arms stands out regardless of its score. Starting out as an average character, Meis develops a very early crush on a girl, makes friends with the least expected, and even forms a party of 6 (three men, three women) where each one has the hots for the corresponding other of the opposite sex. =J Also, Meis's team has to save the world, but has to do Manyyyy things before getting close, grinding exlcuded. Then you have to defeat god knows how many bosses before getting to the final one, the final battle, where my game froze -_- =--|/.
Don't forget to practice kissing with the girl you(the player :P) sees best via dating and relationship leveling. Blacksmithing is also a key factor in the game's combat-related issues, as it allows you customization based on the amount of crystals or something like that (god i've forgotten this game). So, the more you grind, its guaranteed that you can make good gear.

The game is very long, not just by storyline, but also by side-questing and looking for the optimum equipment for each character. There even was the display of an airship, and this makes players "enjoy the ride" =P

Overall Equation:
-Graphics: 4/4.68
-Storyline: 97/100
-Gameplay: (using calculator) radical 0.5 / radical 0.72 then x 100
-Content, Style, and Mechanics: 7.8/10
-Duration: longgg
-Playability Rate: once every 5 years.
