Although it is the worst in the theif series this game is still awesome. Very worth playing but requires some practice.

Theif Deadly Shadows may be the worst theif game out of the trilogy but it still makes the cut. It is still highly absorbing and addictive, and the difficulty is slightly less but hard nonetheless. The new additions of climbing gloves instead of rope arrows, slight free roam in between missions and the factions make an interesting twist to the usual thief gameplay however they just don't make it better than the others. It is very fun to sneak about the streets and pickpocket anyone you see, and it also gives you a real impression on how hard garretts life must be, if he was real, as you struggle to avoid the city watch and walk about unnoticed, as a wanted criminal.
Although this game is still creepy and makes you jump alot, the noises the zombies make sound more like farts and pigs rather than the real creepy noises the zombies made in the first one. Plus the cool thing about the zombies in the first one was that they were scary, indestructible freaks. The only thing that could kill them were holy water, fire arrows and mines, and hammerites, and hammerites are against you too. Whereas, in this one you can kill them with all sorts of things, from holy water still to flash bombs. I once killed a zombie with an oil flask in theif 3. Also, some of the enemies do look quite stupid, such as the mutants who live in the sunken citadel beneath the city, in the sewers, and the giant rats who are against them. I mean, come on, giant rats? Despite these slight downsides the game is still fabulous, although not as good as the other two. It also has it's better qualities, such as the fact that you can pinch out the smaller candles, rather than wasting water arrows on them, and the ability to slide against walls to make you harder to see.
Theif 3 still makes an excellent game and i suggest you play it if ever you get the chance.
