Can be quite graphic at times; not for the faint of heart.

I mainly bought the game because I was wanting to play a good point and click game, and it's exactly what I got. The game can easily last at least 10 hours, so it can keep you occupied for a long time for a game of the genre. One thing I have to mention though...this game contains very disturbing/graphic images, so expect to be horrified or disgusted a lot.

The main story in the game is called Dear Emile, but once you beat that and watch the credits, a bonus story is unlocked, called Dear Martel. The two are connected story-wise, and playing through Martel helps to filled the gaps left by simply playing Emile. In both stories, you (different character in each) wake with no memories whatsoever, and you must regain your memories as find your way out of the horrific environments.

I won't say anything about the plot; although it is very puzzling at first, gradually all the pieces fit together, and you gain more and more understanding as your memories start to come back. Overall, the stories are told beautifully, with a few really nice soundtracks.

As for the gameplay, I won't deny it, can be frustrating at times. There are two ways to interact with objects: see and touch. Because there are traps everywhere in the game, it's always best to examine before touching anything (a lot of times it will hint you of danger), or else your health will be depleted very soon, followed by a game over screen. However, sometimes simply examining doesn't give you enough information, you would have to try to touch things to find out. There is a very delicate balance between refraining from touching mindlessly and taking a risk to find a key item.

The graphics isn't the best ever, so most of the time all you can see are vague shapes. It's really easy to miss important items because their hiding places can really blend in with the rest of the environment. There were quite a few times where I had to resort to a guide to solve puzzles, or else I could possibly have been stuck at certain spots for hours.

Overall, I enjoyed the whole time I was playing the game. Both endings are beautiful, although purposely ambiguous. Definitely give the game a try if you manage to hunt a copy down.
