Single player is fun and is pretty challenging if you play legendary. Multiplayer answers the "why buy" questi

Longer explanation - Single player game - it's a shooter so there's no huge differences in this Halo from the others, but the game is a blast none the less. I completed the game on Normal because I was impatient and wanted to see how the trilogy ended, I wasn't disappointed. I'm now tackling Legendary, which is much more difficult and, in my opinion, is more difficult than the Legendary difficulty in H2. Graphics-wise, I think it's awesome. No, it's not Gears or Bioshock, but in H3 you may have 10+ enemies on the screen at a time, something I haven't seen on Gears or Bioshock. I wasn't pausing the game to sit back and enjoy the detail but what I saw was aesthetically pleasing to me. The campain is also longer that Gears, which I am happy about. The new weapons and vehicles make gameplay even more enjoyable as well.
Mutiplayer - I played the beta and was very happy with what I saw. Now that I have the game with the additional maps, weapons, and vehicles I'm ecstatic. The fact that you can create custom games, record videos of matches and modify the maps with forge is the kind of innovation I want to see game developers put in a game. It's hard for me to justify buying a game that doesn't have the multiplayer option anymore (though I did buy Bioshock). H3 raises the bar again for the multiplayer environment, just as H2 did. Now games with standard multiplayer options are less appealing.
Everyone will have their own opinion on this game. I've read in a lot of forums already where people are bashing the game because it didn't live up to the hype. Honestly though, could any game have lived up to the hype generated here? Halo 3 will do well and will probably be the #1 xbox live game for a very long time to come for one single reason - it's a blast to play.
