Reaping what was sown.
Several things stand out to make this game shine. For instance, the punky gothic style that is used for the characters, the different psych and pin abilities and their activation on the stylus screen, the use of fashions and the ability to change what fashions have greater stats in popular areas, and the fully voiced in game soundtrack (no small feet for a DS card). All of these things make TWEWY a complete package that is addictive and immersive.
For those who don't want to spend too much time tinkering with their "partner's" moves while trying to command Neku, there are a couple of settings in the phone (start) menu. It allows the AI to take over when you leave the partner character alone for too long, or to just leave the partner to AI completely. There is also a difficulty scale that let's you choose the rate of your own progression, you can complete the game on any difficulty but are rewarded for playing at normal or higher. There are also some reapers that will only clear paths for people playing higher than normal difficulty.
All in all it is hard to find a more creative RPG on the DS right now. The story is great and everything else is just as good or better. I would definitely suggest this game for any DS library.
