I a noob question, so I have pin 156, flames afar, foes aflame, and it says on this list that it requires SDPP to evolve to pin 158, I did BPP for it most of the way, and when it has like 40 pp required left, I changed to shutdown till it gained enough SDPP, but when I did play the game again, the pin did not evolve even though I had it on SD for the last 40 PP, so is it because I had too much of BPP?

    Yes.

40SDPP out of 5 levels. (At least 500 PP. As the pin is Slow growth, there's probably much more required.)

Assuming 100PP per level (waaaay lower than what a Slow Growth pin really needs). That's 460BPP and 40SDPP.

SDPP counts as x9 for the sake of proportion.

    So that's 460BPP and 360SDPP.
    460+360 = 820.

    460/820 = 56%
    360/820 = 44%

That PP bar on the top screen, a split second before mastering, would have shown 56% BPP and 44% SDPP. If only 500PP total was necessary to Master.

As it's Slow growth though, I imagine the bar is actually almost entirely Blue (BPP) with only a puny amount of SDPP.

Both the wiki and Mac2492's updated list (way down in this thread) says 200 evolves into 201 by MPP. But now several wiki users say they can't get this to happen:

    http://twewy.wikia.com/wiki/Talkin_200

    Could someone double check please?

Both the wiki and Mac2492's updated list (way down in this thread) says 200 evolves into 201 by MPP.

Oh, any idea who added that so we can try asking them? (It was always BPP only before.)

Note: I'm still trying(/failing) to get the "018 -> 014:MPP" to work. I don't have access to easy MPP.
And I also feel 090 Shiro -> 097:MPP is suspicious, when BPP already does the same thing.

wow thank for the very super summary list of pin evolve. actually i already make the same list from this faq pin list (i use a lot of macro and find replace). the difference is mine have a name of the pin.

    1 - Ice Blow > SHPP to 2
    3 - Frozen Cool > MPP to 4
    7 - Sexy + > BPP to 8
    12 - Happy Beam > BPP to 13 > MPP to (>13)
    13 - Natural Magnum > MPP to 14 > SHPP to (>14)
    16 - One Love Magnum > BPP to 17 > MPP to (>17)
    17 - Hounder Magnum > BPP to 18> MPP to (>18)
    ... so on

i print it in word and make 2 colomn and landscape. change the font size to fit 1 page.

it seems there are still some error regarding evolution. well time to check it and contribute if something is wrong.

I confirmed it, Shiro (90) doesnt evolve with MPP.
  • May 19, 2008 1:51 pm GMT
Well I still haven't managed to get a 018 Bear Hug Magnum to evolve with MPP.
And since 014 Wonder Magnum seems such an unlikely outcome, it's probably safe to conclude that it doesn't.

(Someone should amend the wiki, if no-one else can actually confirm it working!)

just go to your ds option then change the date by 1 week then your pins will level up

just go to your ds option then change the date by 1 week then your pins will level up

No-one is talking about leveling pins, only Evolving them.

And as such that trick is completely useless, or even counterproductive, for two thirds of the evolutions.
(Rough guess, it's probably more than that.)

So why the hell does this deserve to be stickied? I mean, hell, you should have just gotten a stickied link to the wikipedia. It is a better guide.

The greatest asset of this guide is that I can print this on a small paper sheet and carry it with me at all times. Checking the wiki all the time is just too troublesome.

    quick question:

none of the pins you start out with are on this list. Does that mean none for them can evolve?

Yes, yes it does. You know the info tab where it says "Can Evolve: No"? It's not lying to you.
