- Just Right

- The Bottom Line:
- "Immersive"
Story/Lore: 8,3
* Main story-line (9): A great story with a good plot. Really worth playing just for the story alone.
* Side Quests (6): Mostly basic quests like kill some of these and gather that. Gives me the feeling they added side quests just to lengthen the game play time.
* World lore (10): The world lore is one of the best I have ever seen. You can find, listen to and read allot about the world of the witcher. Not only about witchers but also about the monster encounters, ecology, noble houses, ect...
Characters/enemies: 9
* Main character (10): You play as Geralt of Rivia, a master witcher who has lost his memory due to unknown causes. You are found unconscious at the beginning of the game in a forest by fellow witcher. Geralt looks extremely cool and his voice acting is perfect for the setting and type of game.
* Main NPC's (9): Great character development for both ally's and enemies. They really enhance the already rich and great storyline
* Monsters and sub NPC's (8): Great monsters and lots of NPC are in and around towns/city. The only downside is the limited different type of monsters and that all mosters look the same (like in most rpg's)
Game-play: 7
* Camera (7,5): The game has a 3th person gameplay and works as it should. Nothing much to comment on.
* Movement and combat (7,5): The movement is sometimes a littlebit clunky and combat isn't always perfect but...it looks great and really gives a feeling that geralt is a master with the sword. To make critical hits you have to click on the right time (on easy and normal you get a little icon when you need to click), these crits are enhanced attacks and stringed combo's
* Interface (6): The interface is not user friendly. The Inventory is especially difficult to supervise, because of the many different plants and extracts you collect for making potions and such it's hard to know what is worth something and what not. Also the potion making itself is unclear. I also would have like to get some more loot in the kind of gear such as armor and weapons. This was somewhat limited.
Graphics and Sound: 7,8
* Style (7): The style of the game is dark, grim and harsh. Personally I don't like these setting. I'm more of the colorful kiddy type of graphics (like kingdom of amalur). Even though there were moments that caught my breath (like the Witcher castle you see at the start of the game).
* Quality (8,5):The graphics are great and very detailed. The sound is also very good, great voice acting and music enhances the atmosphere of the game.
TOTAL: 8

Excellent, original world design breathes fresh air into fantasy RPGs, but repetitive combat holds The Witcher back.

One of the 16 (!) possible endings for The Witcher 2. *SPOILERS* I chose Roch's side and spared Letho at the end.Posted May 29, 2011

Just a few human fights in the witcher, quest was working girls as you can see at the end. Sorry for the pauses, although one shows the action nicely. Used Aard sign lots.Posted Dec 23, 2007
