With all the hype going with this game, it sure is a letdown.

Before playing this game, I've see review and gameplay of this game, and it looks amazing. With all the "Game of the year" and "Best RPG" reward, it sure does attracts me. After playing this game, nope, it sure is a letdown.

Pros:

(1)Unique battle system.
(2)Great mature theme.
(3)Great voice over and realistic characters.

Cons:

(1)The battle system gets boring after sme time of playing. Even though its unique, but its boring. Killing enemys and monster is a huge gap between SUPER EASY and SUPER HARD. In other words, killing enemy is either TOO EASY or TOO HARD, or should i say, too annoying.

(2)This game seems to be lack of unique model for each and every "important" characters in the game. You will notice a dramatic number of SAME model wandering around with different name, not to mention that they are IMPORTANT NPC and NOT a normal NPC.

(3)Entering and exiting rooms, houses, cave and etc is totally annoying. It is unlike other RPG game whereby the world is merge as one. Entering simple rooms and houses just to explore for new item requires loading, and in a long run, its totally annoying and you just don't feel like entering any rooms or houses just to explore for items. Isn't an RPG an "exploring" game? This dramatically reduce the player's interest to explore anymore.

(4)Whats with the totally messy and complicated alchemy formula and potion making? I've reach near Chapter 3 of the game already, and I still can't create more than 90% of the formulas that i had. The collecting of ingredient is annoying and troublesome, and everything is made worst with the incredible small and messy inventory.

(5)Too many unnecessary quest. You've no choice but to do those unncessary quest in order for you to gain oren (the currency in the witcher world). With all the quest being BOMBED into your quest log, everything is so messy and its real irritating to do those boring quest.

(6)Reading of books and scrolls. After reading books and scrolls, these item still remain in your inventory. They should make it such that after reading these item, the item should be discarded. Its really annoying to have to discard all these item yourself to save spaces for their incredibly small inventory.

I can't really give further review, since i didn't complete the game due to lack of interest till chapter 3. Maybe this game will shine at the late game or whatever, but whats the point when the player had already lose interest in the early chapter?
