Nice start, tedious in too many places, highs can't compensate for the lows

I know I'm in a minority here. So, let me start off with a few good points:
Highs:
- one of the best opening sequences for a game I've played. It gave me very high expectations.
- good detailed story
- combat was good at first.
- some worthy opponents
- really like the main character.
- pretty good voice acting

Lows:
- tedious in too many places. I like to complete petty much all quests and I found myself crisscrossing back and forth across the map to talk to someone or gather an item, or whatever.
- Sometimes hours between battles. This was a big low for me.
- combat got a little repetitive.
- the bedding of every women is rather juvenile. They definitely made this for teenage boys that can't find girls.
- many of the characters are identical but with different clothing. I felt like they had a few canned characters and used them over and over again.

If you can hold on, the story is good. After playing Fallout 3, this game seems old and worn out.
