Broken. In a bad way.

I'm not sure if the producers of this title realize it but the constant lockups can do a number on the internal clocks of your PC components. My 2,000 computer locked up and wouldn't reboot properly for an hour afterward. I had to remove things one at a time until I got to the right problem. All things considered even a 5 dollar game isn't worth running if it can damage your computer.

As for the game? The game itself was fine for the year it came out and the engine it utilized. I did enjoy it when it wasn't trying to murder my computer.

I spent about an hour looking to see how I could fix the problems that should have been dealt with in production. The thing is I'm like most people who work a lot of hours. I don't want to be bothered by such things. If you plan to produce a game don't be a cheapskate. Spring for tests on all platforms, devices and use to make sure the game is compatible going forward.

I won't be buying Witcher 2 precisely for this reason. I can't reward this.
